20 stalls of nasi Kapau. If you walk through Jalan
Kramat Soka, you can find another five stalls of
nasi Kapau seller inside.
Tens of other stalls which are located beside the
flyover had been renovated, resulted in a nicer
and cleaner look in the area. All of them are
running by Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperatives,
Small and Medium Enterprises Agency and
named the area as Kramat Food Street.
The legendary Nasi Kapau H. Zaidar is placed
on the second block of the row, with a banner
written “Nasi Kapau Sabana Asli Hj. Zaidar”
installed in front of the stall. Famous politicians
such as Fadli Zon and Fahri Hamzah, also our
Governor of Jakarta Anies Baswedan had also
visited this stall.
There are many dishes offered at Nasi Kapau
H. Zaidar. As much as 37 large pots contains
various types of curry: tambusu, kepala kakap
(fish head curry), jeroan (tripe, cow lungs, liver
and gizzards), tunjang (beef tendon curry) and
duck eggs. There are also dendeng balado,
dendeng batokok (beef cooked with red chili),
rendang (meat slow-cooked in coconut milk
and spices), paru goreng (fried lungs), ayam
pop (fried, pressure-cooked chicken), and itiak
lado ijo (green chili duck).
