never fades. Although she had tried various

necessities, none of them resulted in the benefit
she wished for. However, Meisarah didn’t
give up. “I never stop trying to innovate,”
she said.
Meisarah told us that she is currently
into handicraft business, making bags
from gunny sacks, which she began in
last October. The idea came when she
went to the traditional market near her
house and saw piles of unused gunny
sacks. “From there, I started to think of
using the sacks as product materials,” said
Meisarah. She then wanted to create bags out
of the unused gunny sacks. “The concept is to recycle
waste into valuable things,” said Meisarah.

With her tenacity, she finally succeeded in inventing
products from something once wasted to be valuable
things: bags made of gunny sacks. She never expected
that the bags were catching everyone’s eyes
during the 2020 Final Genre event at North
Jakarta Mayor’s office. “Many of the
customers there were interested in bags
that I made,” she said proudly.
From the day the forward, Meisarah
continued on making more products
using gunny sack, such as wedding
souvenirs, hair clips and other
accessories. She labelled the products
under the name “Noei Craft”. “The
customers are most interested in tote bags
and hamper bags, since it can be used in daily
basis,” explained Meisarah.
