Elderly People as
Priority Group for
Vaccination
Elderly people are at highest risk for contracting
COVID-19, shown in 95% of total COVID-19 deaths
occurred in adults aged 60 and above. Hence, the
government of Jakarta sets the elderly group as
priority for COVID-19 vaccination. By holding ar-
ea-based vaccination program, they make vaccination
process more effective for it is able to reach more
older adults.
