                                                                                 Bubur Jali Recipe
                                                                                  (for 3 servings)
                                                                                Cooking time: 1 hour
                                                                                Difficulty level: Easy

                                                                      Main ingredients:

                                                                      100 gr         Jali seeds (soak overnight)
                                                                      3,000 ml       water
                                                                      3              pandan leaves, knotted
                                                                      75 gr          sugar
                                                                      ½ tsp          salt
                                                                      Sauce ingredients:

                                                                      500 ml         coconut milk
                                                                      75 gr          palm sugar
                                                                      25 gr          sugar
                                                                      ½ tsp          salt
                                                                      2              pandan leaves, knotted


                                                                      Directions:

                                                                          1.  Cook jali seeds in hot water with
                                                                              knotted pandan leaves.

                                                                          2.  Add sugar and salt, cook until
                                                                              noticeably thicker.

                                                                          3.  For sauce: cook coconut milk
                                                                              with palm sugar, then filter
                                                                              them.

                                                                          4.  Bring to boil again. Add sugar,
                                                                              salt and pandan leaves. Stir
                                                                              and cook to boil.

                                                                          5.  Serve bubur jali with the sauce.
