Sampyong, An etawi is rich in arts and cultures, one of
them is Sampyong music. The name
Bis derived from one of the instruments,
Orchestra without Sampyong, a chordophone-like instrument
made of bamboo with two strings. Compared to
another Betawi musical instruments, Sampyong
Note-Scales is the simplest one, making it the most played
music among other instruments.

A Betawi culture activist Ki Sumpel told JaKita
Betawi Sampyong is a music which has that Sampyong is categorized as the oldest
no musical notes (scale). It often played Betawi music. When he was a child, he used
