            Organizing Kampungs

            in Jakarta

To organize kampungs in Jakarta doesn’t
only mean to provide housings, but
            also establishing a productive village
            community.

                  ampung (Indonesian for village) holds
various of meanings. It can refer to a group

characteristics of life that are intertwined in close
relationships, mutual cooperation, and so on.

Unfortunately, today, a kampung is often identified
as a slum residential area with poor public facilities.
