Jakarta imposed 3M health protocols.

he Provincial Government of Jakarta has
been continuously promoting the 3M
T campaign: to wear mask, wash hands and
10 10 maintain physical distance. They do it every-
where: in residential areas, offices and pub-
lic spaces, to ensure people to be discipline to
comply the health protocols.

According to the result study held by COVID-19
task force last October, promoting 3M proto-
cols can help curb the spread of COVID-19.
Mask-wearing can reduce the risk of transmis-
sion by 1.5%. They have suggested three dif-
ferent types of mask to be used: the national
standard quality (SNI), two-layers cloth mask
and N95 mask. Hand-washing with soap and
running water can also help kill all kind of virus,
including COVID-19. The last health protocol,
which is maintain physical distance, will help
prevent us from the droplets coming out of a
person’s mouth when coughing or sneezing. It’s
advised to maintain distance for at least 1 me-
ter away and 2 meter maximum.

According to the result study conducted by the
Central Statistics Agency (BPS), 90% of the re-
spondents agreed that health protocols are
effective to curb the spread of COVID-19. How-
ever, the survey also found that some of the
respondents are not complying the protocols.
