Bayu Andalas:
Masterpiece in
KORPRI Uniform
Bayu Andalas won the
design competition for the
Indonesian Civil Service Corps
(Korpri) uniform.
eing a civil servant (ASN)
cannot stop Bayu Andalas from
B creating breakthrough. Rather,
in between his busy schedule as Head
of Equipment and Events Subdivision
at Jakarta Secretariat General Bureau
and Administration, Bayu managed to
make an achievement. He succeeded
in winning the 2021 Indonesian Civil
Servant Corp (Korpri) uniform design
competition. For that, his batik design will
be used by all ASNs in Indonesia.
His design became the jury’s first choice,
which beat 414 designs from other
participants from all over Indonesia. It
received the most votes from online poll
involving around 27,000 voters.
In its creative process, the namely Bhumi
Nusa Sagara uniform design underwent
in-depth research. Bayu explored
various patterns of the archipelago
and consulted with craftsmen and also
