Menteng

As the first park built since the era of Dutch
East Indies, Menteng became a symbol of
elites in the capital city.

o visit Menteng means to adore the history
inside the first, beautiful city park built during
TDutch East Indies era: what’s left from the old,
magnificent building surrounded by a grove of trees
and green parks. It is fun to stroll around what’s
used to be a forest and plantation area. It can be
an option for those wanted to have small vacation
on weekends, just like what JaKita did a couple days
ago.

You can start your Menteng tour from Cut Meutia
Mosque, which is located near Gondangdia station.
The mosque is used to house a popular bureau of
architects office in colonial era, NV deBouwploeg.
This mosque marked the beginning of Menteng
area development.

Gedung Joang 45, From Cut Meutia mosque, JaKita continued on
one of historical walking through Menteng Raya street. The street
sites in Menteng,
Central Jakarta. becomes the main symbol of Menteng area, which
was previously prepared to be a housing area with

Dharma W. that concept, Menteng becomes such a green and
cool area.
