Jakarta has been rapidly growing. How-
ever, the city with 10.6 million residents
still bears several issues: from the pro-
vision of housings, transportation, to the
solution for waste management system
and air pollution. Those issues can not
be solved by the government alone, but
with a collaboration with every parties.
For example, in transportation system
Jakarta citizens have to pay an expen-
sive amount of money to get ticket for
public transportation. Jakarta Transpor-
tation Council (DTKJ) revealed that the
citizens of Jakarta saved 20-30% of their
income for transportation cost, where-
as the ideal cost should not exceed 10%
of the income, according to The World
Bank.
But, thanks to the collaboration between
public transport operators and the gov-
ernment of Jakarta, they successfully
invented Jak-Lingko, which provided a
one-price transport fee. With this new- 7 7
ly launched collaboration program, the
citizens of Jakarta can enjoy a lower
cost of transport fee.
We can also see the advantage of col-
laboration for the mitigation of COV-
ID-19 pandemic in Jakarta. Trough Large
Scale Social Collaboration (KSBB) pro-
gram, Jakarta was able to control the
effect of pandemic in the city, as in the
healthcare, economic recovery or social
assistance.
